How Do You Look Pretty In Menopause?
An answer to this question is simple enough to get excited about it! Self-care by using quality products with non-toxic ingredients is at the top of your prerequisites for beauty and young-looking skin. In addition, understanding the process of aging skin does support your choices in designing your skin care routines for any season or reason.
And when you keep your mind open to continue on the learning path, your skills to remain young becomes more sophisticated in approaches and results. You may also explore my detailed post on how to hand changed, boost and preserve your skin in menopause.
What Does Menopause Do To Your Face?
During your life you may have already noticed that women’s skin undergoes a continuous change due to hormones and their fluctuation. Hormonal changes in your reproductive and endocrine systems see one of the key hormones in the woman’s body, the estrogen, to decline with age. And with its declining levels, you notice the changes in your skin, especially in your facial skin and in décolletage.
Some of the prominent changes any woman in menopause goes through are these.
– Skin becomes thinner, especially under the eyes. Hence blood vessels become more visible producing under-eye dark circles.
– Dryer skin can easily lead to skin damage, acne, and other skin conditions.
– Increased sebum production, pore size and hair growth on the face as a direct result of estrogen decrease and testosterone levels becoming more dominant.
– With fewer fibroblasts, slowed down gland and lymph activity, less collagen and elastin is produced.
As a result of a drastic decrease in estrogen, women experience more fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, poorer skin texture, hyperpigmentation, and overall a more reactive skin.
Menopause Skin Care To Nourish And Hydrate the Skin
To lessen the effects of the menopause changes, you can learn how to take care of a mature skin, what skincare products to use, and what ingredients to pay attention to.
The skin motto for the mature age and menopause stage is to Protect, Nourish, Hydrate.
For each woman, there are her own concerns and needs during the menopause. Prioritizing and attending to them as part of your lifestyle choices can truly work wonders on what your skin will look like.
Also, I would recommend to pay attention to your face washing techniques and the products you use during and after the cleansing.
If there’s too much new information in this post to digest, take one small step that agrees with you and follow through. Starting on several new products or new habits won’t bring you to a happy place. However a small step shall!
Hyaluronic Acid for Menopause Skin
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is one of the ingredients that is gentle for any skin type. And women in menopause would truly appreciate the effects this hydrating ingredient brings to their skin.
Your body, your skin generate their own Hyaluronic Acid. With age the amount of the internally-produced HA goes down. Hence adding the skin care products containing Hayluronic Acid to the daily skin routine can optimize the work of your skin.
In fact, when you moisturize with the product where Hyaluronic Acid is one of the ingredients, you allow the fibrous collagen and elastin within your skin to function better as well. Plus, remember to drink water to hydrate the entire body and your skin.
FUN FACT: One gram of Hyaluronic Acid holds approximately six liters of water!
Mahina Beauty Sacred Rose Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum
If you love rose oil and its extracts, the aroma and the effects it has on the skin, then go after the Sacred Rose Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum by Mahina Beaute. Shop for it .
The ingredient list is stellar. You will see some of the best oils and plant extracts that contribute to the protection from the oxidative stress and allow the skin to optimize its functions. One of such functions is a protective one, followed by an optimal moisturization. Hyaluronic Acid in this face serum contributes to your skin’s optimal water balance.
And if you love all-vegan skin care, then Mahina Beaute is for you! This serum would be a wonderful part of skin care routine for any skin type.
Purr Skincare Face Serum for Mature Skin
As the skin during menopause undergoes dramatic changes, you need to support it with more thoughtful ways. And adding additional moisturization is one of them.
For super dry skin, you can bravely incorporate some oil-based serums and lotions for the day use. If you want to add nourishment and moisturization for the night skin treatment, you can do it, too!
One of the new favorites is Purr Skincare face serum. It is super hydrating and nourishing at the same time. Spread a small amount of it on the face, neck and décolletage to rip the benefits of the oils, including broad spectrum CBD.
I have a detailed post on the best essential oils for the face and skin care routine.
The serum texture is slight, yet lingering to protect your skin all-day-long. And the aroma is divine! Explore the PURR Skincare products HERE.

Viking Beauty Secrets Skin Care
One of my favorite ingredients of all times is Sea Buckthorn berry. This tiny orange berry boasts of a rich megadose of phytonutrients and the entire row of all Omegas-3,6,9 and rare Omega-7! Explore all their products HERE.
One of the fascinating elements in the Sea Buckthorn is Superoxide Dismutase (SOD). This super antioxidant helps to repair cellular walls and even out the damage within the cells. Hence you can truly rely on it to contribute to lower skin inflammation, less fine lines and wrinkles. This ingredient is a true fighter for your skin’s anti-aging and health.
The skin vitamins you can find in sea buckthorn are vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E. All of these vitamins contribute to the protection and revitalizing effects of the skin layers or strata.
Vitamin A proved to be effective in addressing hyperpigmentation – age spots, sun damage – and skin sagging and wrinkles.
Vitamin C must be present for the formation of collagen in the skin.
Vitamin K is needed for formation of proteins to maintain healthy skin cells. It is reported topical application of vitamin K may help to prevent acne and heal skin affected by acne scarring.
Vitamin E has to be your friend as it works on protecting skin from inflammation, – especially UV-induced, – edema (swelling), erythema (redness).

Green Bee Botanicals with Hyaluronic Acid
To hydrate and nourish your menopause skin, you may want to explore the products and find those that benefit your skin the most.
One of my recently discovered products is a deeply hydrating Quench Moisturizer by Green Bee Botanicals. Again this product uses a combination of soothing the skin CBD benefits and CBG, which is one of the most hydrating of all cannabinoids.
Our body is an intricate system consisting of the endocannabinoids, the neurotransmitters that regulate and balance a million functions in our body. This smart and complex endocannabinoid system in our human body affects cellular life and cycles, metabolism, immune system, memory, appetite and many other systems.
In addition, the formulation includes Hyaluronic acid (HA) to hold the moisture within your skin layers and allow the cells to function at their optimal capacity.
In addition to the HA, this little jar of lotion is packed with antioxidants, oils, minerals that deliver moisture and nutrition to the deeper layers of the skin. With Rosehip oil, Everlasting flower, Borage, Mango butter, your skin will sing hymns to the care you provide to the largest organ of the body!

Wrinkle-Fighting Vitabrid C12 Wrinkle Serum
If you are in need of an effective skin care product that fights wrinkles and fine lines and supports your efforts in a bright, clear skin, you may want to look into Vitabrid C12 Wrinkle Serum Professional 2 Piece Kit. Shop for it HERE.
Here’s why I like this power duet when used in sync with each other.
– The Vitabrid C12 Wrinkle Serum has a proprietary peptide that firms the facial skin by promoting collagen synthesis.
– Shea butter helps your skin to keep an optimal water-oil balance.
– Niacinamide aka Vitamin B3 is responsible for the processes that make the skin smooth, brighter, hence longer-looking.
– The powdered form of Vitamin C benefits for skin are superior than other forms. Being pre-cursor to the collagen formation, Vitamin C in its L-ascorbic acid form is more stable, highly absorbable and will remain on the skin up to 72 hours. Obviously, we cleanse and wash off the products from our facial skin. So, the Vitabrid Powdered form of Vitamin C works on your skin for 12 hours straight!
Anti-aging skin effects are so much more enjoyable with the products that have super-working ingredients. Plus the ingredients that are non-toxic, too!
TIP: One of the way to maximize the effectiveness of your skin products containing Vitamin C is to use them in tandem with a sunblock during the day. This way, you gain an unprecedented sun protection with Vitamin C and SPF lotion from the damaging Ultra Violet Radiation aka UVR. This is a potent skin care combo against premature skin aging.
Repair And Rejuvenate Your Skin With Benir
Your skin is a unique and very powerful system and mechanism to support your beauty and well-being. When you are consistent with your approach in taking care of this largest organ, your skin gives back in its beautiful glow and truly anti-aging effects.
As menopause is characterized by the onset of dryer skin, you need the best ingredient that provide quality and lasting moisturization. Hyaluronic Acid is one of the stellar ingredients you gotta be thinking about when planning your skin care routine.
Your skin makes its own hydrating fluids like Hyaluronic Acid (HA). In fact, one of its important functions is to support collagen and elastin residing in the cellular space. Hyaluronic Acid supplies the needed moisture to these important protein fibers to allow them to function properly. With all the firmness and elasticity provided by collagen and elastin inside the skin, your face will radiate beauty and youth.
Let me tell you one small secret that very few keep in mind when choosing skin care products.
When you buy a product with Hyaluronic Acid, check the ingredients to see if there are any Copper Peptides on the list.
Why these peptides are important is a fact that they interact with Hyaluronic Acid to repair skin cells! And if you do not have enough fluids inside your skin due to dehydration and lack of moisturizing skin care products, then such interaction is either impossible or super slow. But you do want your skin cells to be repaired and looking beautiful at all time.
Vitae Skin lotion has stellar ingredients that for your menopausal skin to feel and look radiant year-round. Just look at some of the key ingredients on the list! More on this menopause skin care product HERE.
– Copper Peptides
– Hyaluronic Acid
– Matrixes 3000
– Ubiquinone aka Q10 or CoQ10, the enzyme that fights the oxidative damage in your skin. Hence it prevents lines and wrinkles, as all the skin’s protein fibers are protected and moisturized.
All of the above ingredients are offered in the effective concentrations to calm skin inflammation, improve skin firmness, and to support its repair. Benir is vegan sourced and cruelty free, without any perfumes or harmful preservatives.
Deep Moisturization with Aspenglow Face Balm
If you are looking for the best face moisturizer for menopausal skin, you can find it in products with certain oils, butters, Hyaluronic Acid, certain peptides and phytoingredients.
One of the latest gems in my skin care collection belongs to the fortifying face balm by Colorado Aromatics ASPENGLOW. You can learn more about it and shop for it HERE.
You need just a tad of this deep moisturizing and conditioning the skin cream to fortify and protect your skin layer from the outside pathogens, dust, and dirt. Also this skin product will ensure that your skin does not get dehydrated due to the evaporation.
When you look at the ingredients list, you find a lot of stellar performers there, all non-toxic and effective in a menopausal skin care routine.
– Cocoat butter, cupuacu butter, candlilla wax are super moisturizers and add to the hydrolipidic (water-oil) protective barrier of the skin.
– Raspberry seed oil is rich in phytosterols (anti-inflammatory), vitamin E (antioxidant), carotenes (great for fine lines and wrinkles), ellagic acid (lightens the skin by blocking an enzyme responsible for melanin activity).
– Vitamin C is so many things to a healthy skin! It is a super antioxidant, precursor to collagen formation, and has shown to improve skin hydration by decreasing transepidermal water loss (TEWL).1,2
– Herbs like red clover, rose, calendula are all helping to keep collagen and elastin fibers moist, hence improving your looks and skin support as well.
– Teprenone is a big player when it comes to skin hydration. A super ingredient to improve your rough, dry skin patches, and even make smaller the pore size.
CBD Benefits for Menopause Skin
As the medical professionals say CBD is not the cure for menopause, as “there’s no specific scientific evidence that CBD is effective for easing menopausal symptoms as a whole.”
However what you need to know is that CBD molecule has a powerfully positive interaction with the human skin. Once you apply topical products containing CBD like lotions, balms, ointments, the skin reacts pretty quickly within about 15-20 minutes, depending on the product, concentration and other factors.
What CBD boasts of is its anti-inflammatory properties along with the free radical scavenging. And that’s exactly what any skin needs to reduce the damaging processes inside and maintain its wholesomeness for as long as possible.
With a strong skin structure and undamaged collagen and elastin fibers, your skin will look plumper and youthful, avoiding deep sagging and hyperpigmentation.
In addition, when you hydrate the skin, you allow the cells do their reconstructive and protective job.
Here are some stellar skin care products for your skin to feel protected, nourished and energized.

Moisturizer for the Lips
The skin on the lips is thin and need care every day. By keeping the skin on the lips moisturized, you are building stronger immunity to pathogens from outside to infiltrate the skin’s barrier.
As the lips are situated on the border with your digestive system, we gotta be very selective about the products we apply on the lips. Organic, non-GMO ingredients are the key for your lip skin protection. That is why one of my favorite go-to daily use products is Kari Gran Lip Whip treatment balm.

Universal Color for Your Face Make-Up
While skin care and make-up technologies are always on their progressive path, it is so hard to find the make-p that is flattering and fits our unique skin tone and physical features.
As you and I have our unique skin pH, we will always require different products to match our skin’s needs. Encapsulated pigments are something that modern cosmetics uses to apply to the skin and closely match its tone. These pigments are delivered in tiny capsules to the skin’s surface and break or burst during the makeup application. Voila, you’ve got the color that responds to the “magic” of your pH mixed with the delivered colored pigment.
And as our pH differs, the final product – the make-up color – will be as close to our unique skin tone as possible. Obviously, the technology marches forward every day. And we are waiting for that truly “magical” make-up result in the near future.
But today we’ve got Boomstick Color! The technology here is a uniquely designed color that allows your natural skin tone to show through. No matter what your skin tone, your happy me color will shine through the universal color of the Boomstick. Check out this lipstick and get it tested yourself, on your own skin .
Besides the regular Boomstick Color, you can add a bit of glam to your makeup routine by using a Boomstick Glimmer. It has a pearlescent shine to ad to your eyelids, cheeks, brow bone, or anywhere your heart desires. If you need that special look for a dinner or party, then the time for the Glimmer has come! You can shop for it .
And if you wish to opt for a natural look, you certainly can! Do it with a Boomstick Glo aka a Boomsilk moisturizer. You can apply it to your face, lips, neck, hands, cuticles, knees, elbows or anywhere on the body. Find it .
HEALTHY TIP: Please get several Boomsilk sticks if you plan to use one for different body parts. Keep your face cosmetics separate from any others!
Skin Needs In Menopause
Though menopause is many things, I just focus one of the topics, menopause skin. As women report a more rapid aging after the onset of menopause, understanding how your skin changes during menopause is truly eye-opening.
When you begin tapping into the reasons of your changed skin, you begin to understand what you can do about it.
Some of the major skin issues in menopause are dry skin, more prominent fine lines and deeper wrinkles, age spots aka hyperpigmentation, jowls and loose skin around facial contour, worsening of acne, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema.
A drastic loss of collagen, estimated about 30% in the first five years of menopause, fluctuation in hormones (estrogen, testosterone), changes in skin’s pH are some of the first triggers of drastic changes in the skin.
To support your daily life with the superior skincare products here are some more you may certainly seriously consider. Please read on!
Beer Body Wash for Women
If you haven’t heard of the beer body wash, then your time has come. Beer ingredients in personal care products are becoming a norm.
In fact, adding beer body lotion and beer body wash to your daily routine could bring some results for your skin’s well-being. Check them out!
Malt in beer has great exfoliation ability. Every time you bath or take a shower and use a beer body wash, you remove dead cells from the surface of your skin. This process allows your younger cells to come to the surface. With that, you gain stronger immunity and better absorption of skin care you use after shower.
As collagen is your precious resource to keep skin plump and bouncy, beer malt boasts of stabilizing of collagen and elastin. Show me a woman in menopause who would not want that!
One more incredible characteristic of beer malt is improving microcirculation. It means more blood flow to the hair follicles in your scalp skin. And with that, stronger hair growth as well. Adding The Beer Spa shampoo and conditioner could be a nice support to any of you scalp facials.
You can choose your The Spa Beer body care or hair care set HERE. Any set makes one of the best beauty gifts for menopause.
Moisturizing Body Wash With Hemp
When your body is craving pure and plant-derived ingredients that moisturize and protect the skin barrier, Beessential body wash with essential oil aroma would be heavenly. Check out out natural body wash with lavender essential oil HERE.
Made with beeswax, pure honey and propolis, you are here for a really treat. Menopause skin can be capricious, presenting you with dry patches that can crack into small lesions. It is not fun to experience itching or even painful reminders from the skin.
But what you can do is to hydrate the skin, add an additional protective layer of lipids (fats) to kiss any moisture evaporation and lesion formation good-bye.
Besides the hydration you’ll receive with Beessential body wash, your skin shall relish a healthy dose of Lactobacillus. Your skin has its natural layer of protective microorganism living on its surface. They form the skin’s microbiota, protecting you from outside pathogens.
Adding skin care with probiotics to your daily regimen would do several good things for you.
– Improve the protective skin’s barrier
– Help to restore your natural pH of the skin, which is a bit acidic, around 5.5 pH
– Reduce the damaging effects of photo-aging
By using a body wash with quality ingredients that cleanse and ultra-hydrate your skin, you are making the right step towards a true anti-aging living.
Turmeric Body Oil
Another excellent product to protect your skin barrier from transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is Turmeric Body Oil by Life & Pursuits; shop for it HERE.
Why this Ayurveda body oil is different from other body oils is two-fold.
First, it is light, non-greasy formulation that provides a protective cover for your epidermis, your outer skin layer.
Second, this body oil has some truly unique performance ingredients that I do not see frequently in skin care products in this category especially. I’d like to highlight just two.
The star performer is Turmeric (Curcuma longa). It is a potent antioxidant with a healthy inflammation response. It means having turmeric in your diet, via supplement or topical application can create a protective mechanism against free radicals, those unstable cells that damage other cells, skin, and organs.
Another stellar performance ingredient is Gotu Kola known as Centella asiatica. Not many women know about this unique ingredient yet. But it’s been around for years now, and some companies begin to use it more and more in their formulations.
In fact, Centella asiatica is a super-duper multi-tasker indeed! You add the following elements for your skin’s health and longevity thanks to Centella asiatica:
– Amino acids are the basic building blocks for proteins like collagen and elastin among all others.
– Beta Carotene which is a precursor to Vitamin A with the antioxidant protective power.
– Fatty Acids ensure optimal cellular hydration and skin moisturization, protecting it from free radicals.
–Phytochemicals that protect your skin cells from the damage from free radicals. Once the cell is broken by these pesky and dangerous oxidants, the skin suffers as well.
Silk Pillowcase Benefits for Menopause Skin
Without doubt sleep is our number one weapon for a beautiful and healthy skin. But you and I could really add some amazing products, like a silk pillowcase, to maximize skin’s benefits during a night’s sleep.
In fact, a quality silk pillow creates a soft surface that helps to reduce wrinkles over time. It happens thanks to the inability of the silk surface to easily absorb natural oils from the surface of the skin and the skin care products you layer over the facial skin during your PM routine.
Another incredible silk pillowcase benefit for the skin is in its reduced rate of absorbing and dragging any pore-forming bacteria across the surface of the pillow. It means less acne breakouts and more opportunities for your skin care product’s actives to do their work.
Those with curly hair and women wearing hair extensions, these silk pillowcases are a must-have! Silk pillows generate much less friction with the surface than a regular, cotton or linen, pillowcase. As a result, your hair experiences less frizz and breakage.
You will be able to tell the difference sleeping on a silk pillowcase without waiting long. Appreciation comes with each night you use your smooth, silky pillowcase.
With that in mind, a beautifully crafted Celestial Silk pillowcase creates an avalanche of gratitude for a luxurious feel, for a smooth touch to the skin, and an incredibly careful effect on the hair. Made with mulberry silk and charmeuse weave, each pillowcase comes in a box with golden letter. Such attention to the detail and packaging create an unforgettable gift for any occasion!
Shop for your own silk pillowcase gift with a smooth experience HERE. Celebrate almost three dozen colors these silk pillowcases come in!
Manta Silk Sleep Mask
As you now are aware of great benefits of silk for skin’s well-being, here’s another product that would make your menopause night sleep a dream. Let me introduce you to the Manta Silk Sleeping Mask. Shop for it HERE.
Your facial skin is beautifully protected from creases and fine line formation by this sleep mask. Hypoallergenic and repellent of the skin creams and lotions, this mask can become your huge supporter in the anti-aging journey.
Besides being so good to your skin, a Manta sleeping mask has an option for silk eye cups to protect your eyes and eye lashes from being pressed against the mask. And these eye cups provide a 100% blackout for day’s or night’s sleep.
FUN FACT: Silk quality is measured in “momme” units. It comes from the weight of silk measuring 100 yards long and 45 inches wide. The higher the “momme” number, the more quality is the silk.
The Manta silk sleep mask and its upgrades are made of luxurious 22 momme silk. You can have COOL Eye Cups with icy relief for your head, eyes and sinuses (shop here). Or you may opt out for WARM Eye Cups to enjoy a soothing steam for instant relief from tired eyes.

dry skin
Dry skin calls for a nourishing and moisturizing regimen.
For AM use, try to use Hyaluronic Acid skin care products to avoid transepidermal water loss.
And for PM regimen, choose richer creams to feed and protect your skin during the night rejuvenation cycle.
Always wear sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
I sometimes get dry patches on my skin and would like something to help that.
Dry skin patches could be a lot of things. Dermatologist is the best way to begin such investigation.
You need to know the reasons behind such dry patches and where they are located on your facial skin.
Menopausal dull skin. As we age our skin get dull, age spots.
Peggy,
Your skin during menopause can be supported in a way to make it glowy, dewy and healthy.

I really would like to win a skin serum and would love to try a silk pillowcase.
And a lip balm for my daily use, as I am in love with lip balms!
Oh, Carla,
Thank you for your feedback.
Yes, all these products could be your stellar support in daily life in your skin care.
Any of the mentioned products are superior in their ingredients and performance.
I have aging skin and teenage breakouts. I try to hydrate and tighten without oils.
Judy,
It would be beneficial for you to get an appointment with your dermatologist. You need to make sure that all those breakouts do not lead to lead to deeper lesions and acneic scarring.
Your doctor would really make it clear a path to follow in your skin care routine.
I am in love with this post! All these amazing moisturizers and overall beauty products of reputable brands. The silk pillowcases are the icing on the cake. OMG, what beauty!
Myrah,
Thank you, Chica, for your feedback. Yes, a mulberry silk pillowcase is how you end your day – on a silky surface and into the la-la land, while your skin receives the proper nutrition and restoration via the skincare you placed on it!
Every bit of it will be used on your skin, not absorbed by your pillowcase!
My main skin concern is aging. My skin looks dull and wrinkles
Hi Kobi,
Thank you for sharing your skin concerns.
The way you described your skin as dull and with wrinkles, it seems that you may certainly benefit from a good exfoliation to begin with.
Exfoliation by double-oil cleansing is one of the most effective and affordable to do at home.
Just make sure you do have a visit with your dermatologist to make sure there are no underlying conditions in your skin. I can ensure you that such a visit could be life-changing, as you will learn a lot and will be able to create a treatment plan for your skin.
You can look awesome, young and with healthy skin no matter biological age. Just need to take an active step towards it.
Don’t be discouraged. Skin is a truly amazing organ that would respond to your care.
I am way past menopause! I would love a good skin care routine that includes products to hydrate without leaving me greasy.
Debbi,
Thank you for sharing your story.
There are some excellent skincare products that do just that: hydrate and protect the skin barrier, fortifying its immunity to the outside pathogens, dirt, and infection.
Check with your dermatologist or trusted esthetician.
FYI: I am a certified esthetician and what I see in women with menopause is dry skin, frequently damaged, allowing dirt and microbes inside.
Any of the products featured in this post are an excellent way to hydrate your dry skin, if that’s the case. No greasy feeling, only effective performance ingredients with a lot of moisturizing effects and repair function as well.
The beer spa shampoo and conditioner to promote more hair growth and to help out with my scalp.
Cassandra,
The beer products are an excellent addition to your skin care routine.
The body wash is my favorite, as it leaves the skin moisturized and feeling really velvety.
I have some dark spots and large pores with some blemishes. I am looking to add hyaluronic acid into my skincare.
Darlene,
Good for you to add some hydrating skin care to your skin.
Also, for hyperpigmentation, a good exfoliation could be a huge plus. When you exfoliate, you remove the upper layer of dead cells, opening younger cells to receive any benefits from performing ingredients.
I am registered medical esthetician and do recommend any woman to visit her trusted dermatologist. You will learn a lot about your skin beginning from the first meeting!
It will give you a leg up over many concerns and allow to take preventative actions for the sake of your beautiful skin.
My main concern is dry skin. I know of hyaluronic acid but the face balm is new to me.
Jan,
Good for you that you allow yourself to experiment with the products to see what works for your skin.
Also, for dry skin, remember to drink water to hydrate yourself from inside-out.
In addition, protecting your outer skin from epidermal water loss (TEWL) with richer lotions during the day and creams at night.
What may happen in dry skin conditions is that skin allows the evaporation of the precious water from the skin making it dry.
FYI: I am a registered medical esthetician and see a lot of skin conditions like dry and dehydrated skin.
The skin care concerns that are most important to me currently are under eye circles, thinning brows, and itchy skin in places. Products I would like to start using are anti aging eye creams, brow thickeners, and atopic dermatitis treatment.
Jen,
Thank you for sharing.
Thinning skin adds to the concerns and care routine for sure.
Visiting your dermatologist is a huge help to identify the areas of concern and plan to correct and support them.
Hugs!
I wouldn’t mind trying something new. I skipped menopause when I got my hysterectomy but I went from youngish to older looking so fast!!
Rosey,
Thank you for sharing this personal experience.
One more time you prove how important it is our hormonal balance.
Still, you can feel and look awesome. Do not give up. Just keep walking forward, well-equipped with knowledge and facts.
Hugs, my awesome!
I am not at an age where I am going through menopause but it sounds so intense! These gift ideas are such a lovely thought.
Jupiter,
You do not need to be at menopause to enjoy the benefits of these products.
The thing is almost nobody cares what women are going through during menopause.
I focus on the issues that support menopausal skin. What really is frightening is that young women are going through the symptoms like in menopause.
And dryness is one of the neglects that a woman allows for her skin.
Take good care of your skin now. Wait not for the day when it may be too late to return the skin’s youth and radiance. Though with some work and perseverance, you can do it, depending on the damage done.
Anything and everything that helps hydrate my dry skin!
Kayla,
Hydration is the basic step to care for the skin and maintain its youth. Good for you!
I got so many ideas for a birthday gift from my mom now. Thank you so much. She is obsessed with skincare now that she is in the menopausal stage.
Beth,
I am so happy for you! Your Mom would be on cloud nine from any gifts you give her.
Happy shopping!
I have dry skin & wrinkles, I need to find a good serum and lip softener.
Heather,
Good thinking.
Also, may I suggest to look into a good cleanser and exfoliation. You can do it all at home. Exfoliation allows you to get rid of the dead cells that keep piling up on the surface and not allowing a good penetration of the skin care products you use.
Once you begin using exfoliation regularly, you will be up for a surprise – your newly revealed glowy skin!
FYI: I am a certified medical esthetician.
These products look so good and perfect to ise especially for the women with menopause. My sis in law who is 25 years older than me, she recently entered menopause stage and is getting paranoid with her skin. I’ll share it with her.
Thank you for sharing it, Monidipa.
No reason for paranoia. Rather, a calm assessment and an action plan.
Skin is an amazingly strong and powerful organ that allows us to help its transformation.
I bought the Boom sticks for my mom last year and she absolutely LOVED them! She uses it every day now. Great gift guide 🙂
Tammy,
The Boom sticks could be a good way to get a beautiful make-up face in seconds. Great product.
I’m not waiting for the menopause to try these. You’ve mentioned some lovely products there. I would love to try most of them, especially all those with hyaluronic acid.
Melanie,
That’s the way the skin love it – not waiting for any adverse reaction, rather being taken care of it on the daily basis.
Enjoy the products. I select them super diligently, as I am a huge fan of non-toxic, effective ingredients.
It is good to adapt through different stages in life when it comes to health and beauty. I will have to check out some of these products for myself.
Be my guest, Marysa!
Hope you’ll see something you could use for your beautiful skin.
Great collection of gifts you’ve put together, they all sound quite beneficial. Thanks for sharing these and I will keep them all in mind, there are even a few I would be interested in for myself!
Luna,
All the products I curate are based on their clean and non-toxic ingredient list.
Every product is a good, effective way to add to the skin regimen as needed.
But what I recommend is to visit your dermatologist if you’ve never been to one!
Such a trip would contribute to a more understanding and reasons for the care your skin needs.
Always know your skin first. Products come after that.
I am in my 40s now and I will certainly take some of these tips on board. I have really started to make sure I am cleansing and moisturising my skin well every day.
Excellent way to ensure the beauty of your skin is its cleansing as the first must-do. Keep at it! You’ll enjoy the results without doubt.

My skin gets a lil oily around my period but other than that I think I have pretty nice skin.
Stephanie,
Keep taking care of your skin to enjoy its looks for the next hundred of years! You deserve the best.
My skin is skin dry, tight and itchy.
Wow, Robin,
A trip to your dermatologist would help you to figure out what’s going on with your skin.
Please take good care of it!
My concerns are dry dull skin. I want to include in my skin care routine some of the hydrating skin care products.
Laurie,
Hydration would help. Also, including skin care product with performance ingredients like Vitamin C, Vitamin B3 would help you to repair the cellular DNA, protect from free radicals.
To help with the skin tone, you may want to explore regular exfoliation. Oil double cleansing with exfoliation would be great. It would help with getting rid of the dead skin cells and open up a new layer of younger skin cells. It definitely would brighten up your skin tone.
Great info! So many amazing products I want to try!
Claudia,
Every single products curated in this post has been chosen based on its clean ingredients and performance ingredients (those that make a change in our skin) and uniqueness of the formulation.
I have dark spots, dry skin and and some fine lines. I have been wanting to try Hyaluronic Acid.
Victoria,
Yes, do test out skin care with Hyaluronic Acid.
There are some excellent products out there. And you can apply these products during the your AM skin care routine.
During the night, it would be great to apply a rich, moisturizing cream that would feed and moisturize your skin during the night hours.
The dark spots (hyperpigmentation) can be addressed with double oil cleansing (it would exfoliate your skin, allowing young cells to appear to the top of your skin epithelium) and it would get rid of the dead and pigmented skin cells that have risen to the surface.
Have patience, and the skin will show off its beautiful results!
Allergies. Always seems to have one or two ingredients that cause my face to break out!
Kathleen,
It is frustrating, no doubt.
What I’d suggest is to visit a dermatologist for skin evaluation and pin point the causes/reasons for your facial skin to break out.
Please find a doctor you trust and it would be worth your appointment cost!
I just started using face cream at night. I am using oxygenated olive oil.
Anne,
This is a very soothing salve for your skin, especially if your skin is on the dry side.
If your skin type normal/oily, use sparingly to avoid clogging your of your follicles.
I definitely need something for my dry skin. I have some rough patches (they are small and not super noticeable to other but they are to me) too. I live in the north, where our harsh cold weather really makes my skin tight and itchy.
Rebecca,
Thank you for sharing of your skin situation.
Dry skin needs regular hydration, inside-out. Hydrate with clean water. And do moisturize your dry skin, even during the summer months.
It is super important to create a protective skin barrier with extra oils/fats/lipids to stop the loss of precious water from your skin’s epidermis. Because if it happens again and again, your skin barrier becomes vulnerable for infection and pathogens from the outside.
So, using moisturizers year-round for your dry skin is a great way to protect and feed your skin at the same time. As many skin care creams come with some potent actives or performance ingredients that make your skin truly beautiful and healthy.
I have typical signs of aging, dry skin and wrinkling. I’d like to try the Benir product.
Cynthia,
Benir would be an optimal option for your to try and see the results. Truly beautiful ingredients that are effective for the skin in menopause.
Good luck!
We will have at least 7 winners in this giveaway!

I am a medical esthetician and do have my rigorous criteria of selection for skin care products.

I have acne prone skin on my face and dry skin everywhere else due to not having a thyroid.
Hi Leela,
Acne-prone skin calls for special care and even better quality pillowcases.
Have you tried silk pillowcases? They are an excellent way to maintain skin well-being while preventing acneic fluids to spread around the fabric.
Also, check out some excellent serums with the functional ingredients that any skin can benefit from.
Thank you for your feedback and good luck in this giveaway!
Nice helpful article
Glad to know it was informative for you.
Enjoy the week!
There are still a lot of things we need to know and talk about more when it comes to Menopause and those are indeed the best beauty gifts to check out. Some people I know would definitely be grateful for this.
Thank you, Angela,
Yes, definitely, menopause is so many things.
I just focus on a small part of it – women’s skin and its well-being, how to maintain and achieve the best feeling and looking skin no matter the biological age.
I struggle with dry skin!
Hi Ella,
Thank you for your feedback.
If you really have a dry skin, then the goal for you is to keep your skin moisturized, well-replenished and then protected.
Look for the skin care products with Ceramides, the lipids (fats), that would allow to create a protective barrier on the skin that keep the precious moisture inside your skin!
You can also try Hyaluronic Acid products that do an excellent job of keeping the water inside the skin.
Any of the skin care in the post that have the above ingredients could be your excellent choice to keep your dry skin moisturized, hence looking and feeling plump and well-supported.
Wrinkles and dry skin are my concerns and I use serums and moisturizers.
Sunnymay,
Way to go, GRL!
So happy you know your skin care routine and are taking care of the skin’s needs.
It’s nice to see all these wonderful products. I’m not looking forward to menopause at all. I see a lot of amazing products here I need to give a try.
Kathy,
You’re not alone in this journey. Many of women have been in menopause since their young age due to medical or hormonal issues.
Any of the curated products in this post is an excellent partner in your skin care journey!
wrinkles!
Betty,
Wrinkles can be causes by so many things. And one of them is poorly-hydrated skin.
More water inside and better quality moisturizers on the outside.
Also, consider skin exfoliation as a way to get rid of the dead skin (karotinized dead cells) that cover your epidermis and prevent of the most effective penetration of your skin care products like AM and PM serums and lotions/creams.
Have a great day!
oh wow!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE EXTENSIVE GUIDE, I LOVE IT!!! I’ve never heard of almost all of these products! I can’t wait to start trying some of them, super excited.
Glad you found this post informative and helpful.
And yes, any of the mentioned products is a great choice for the skin that needs to be hydrated and nourished to keep its protective barrier intact.
I’m starting to get some fine lines, but annoyingly I also still have the occasional zit/pimple to worry about.
Samantha,
Blackheads and acne can be the unwelcome “guests” on the facial skin.
It would be helpful to talk to your dermatologist or esthetician to really pinpoint the reason(s).
Yes, good products and ingredients do matter as well.
This is an extensive list of skin care. Love them! Sharing this to my aunts as they need this more than i want them!
Nadalie,
Every single product curated in this post is of high quality, made with clean, non-toxic ingredients and works.
Glad you’re sharing them with your aunts.
I have dry skin and need to use more moisturizer.
Tracy,
Any of the listed moisturizers, creams and serums, would be your amazingly effective companion for a better hydrated skin. You’ll love the results.
My biggest skin concerns are under eye circles and aging skin.
Hi Margaret,
I would begin with evaluation: Do you get enough sleep? Dark circles could be quite prominent due to the lack of sleep.
Also, as the skin under the eyes thins in peri- and menopause, the blood vessels become more prominent.
Your visit to your dermatologist or esthetician could really help you to pinpoint the reasons and define your plan of action.
All the products in this post are an excellent way to hydrate, feed and protect the skin in menopause.
In my 40’s, so trying to prevent wrinkles!
April,
Way to go, GRL!
Choosing quality non-toxic ingredient in your skin care is a must.
Freaquently, I see stellar ingredients mixed with some oxidizing ingredients. So, you need to know your ingredients and read the list of them when you buy skin care products.
Face cleansing and exfoliation could be your first step in creating a powerful skin care routine that truly prevents accelerated aging.
And the skin care products curated in this post are an excellent way to hydrate, feed and protect your skin.
Great beauty tips. Would love to try some of these
Hi Janine,
Thank you for your feedback.
Any of the listed skin care products are super effective and boast of the NON-TOXIC ingredients.
I am a stickler when it comes to the skin care and accept nothing less, but clean and body-loving skin care formulations.
I struggle with dry skin.
EC,
If it is just a dry skin, you could really drink more water during the day and add some hydrating skin care products to see the results.
I’m 41 and have noticed changes in my skin. I have more melasma and I can tell I need a collagen boost. I need to try some of these products!
Monica,
I am a licensed esthetician.
What you could begin with is a well-designed skin care routine.
Exfoliation can really help you with your Hyperpigmentation.
Naturally, you consult your dermatologist or esthetician so they could evaluate your skin in person. But there are many skin treatments that you could approach to make your hyperpigmentation lighter.
Awesome looking products, I would love to try any of them! I do love serums and face wash products. I have the 11 lunes on my forehead, marionet lines near my mouth and nose and getting lines, wrinkles under my eyes.
Linda,
Thank you for your comment.
You may want to begin with cleansing and skin exfoliation, followed by a potent serum and cream to hydrate and feed your skin.
A trip to your esthetician could really help you to figure out your treatment plan.
Hope this post helps you to understand more about the products that are out there to put to work for the menopause skin.
Hydrate. Feed. Protect. This is the motto!
I have number 11 lines. I would love to see them disappear
Mary,
There are many ways to try to work on the deeper lines on the face.
Your esthetician really could help you out.
Do yourself a huge self-care gift and see your esthetician. It really could change your life!
dry skin
Dry skin is such a frequent complaint from my clients, no matter their age.
Water hydration during the day can really improve the state of the skin.
In addition, adding exfoliation and moisturizer to the daily routine can make yet another huge improvement in the skin’s hydration.
I have an issue with dry skin. I would love the serum or any product that hydrates my skin.
Max,
Dry skin calls for the daily care indeed.
First thing first: You need a good exfoliation lotion, gentle, yet effective.
Second, you need a good moisturizing skin product: Richer formulation for the night, and a lighter formula for the day.
Also try Hyaluronic Acid, as it it a quality ingredient to maintaining your skin’s water balance. Just keep in mind to check the Entire Ingredients list to ensure that all ingredients are non-toxic! You can buy products where HA is the ingredient, without any other additions.
I recommend these skin care products HA-based (my affiliate links):

My preference would be one of the serums for the face. And this Vitabrid wrinkle serum is the one I am longing for.
I read other posts on this blog about Vitabrid products. And yes, I did buy the cleanser. It did wonders for my dry skin. I really, really want more of these products!
Thank you for an amazing giveaway and education that goes along with it.
Sally,
Vitabrid skin care products are some of my go-to’s!
They are gentle and so nourishing, effective and affordable.
Good luck on this giveaway. And I am prepping more posts on the stuff that any woman needs to know to maintain her skin beautiful.
I have an issue with dry skin. I would love the serum or any product that hydrates my skin.
Jessica,
All the curated in this post skin care products are an excellent source of non-toxic ingredients that hydrate and preserve your skin’s protective barrier.
Also, check out the ingredient list for the skin care products you use.
Ensure your products are free of any petroleum-based ingredients that have a drying effect not he skin, plus, create oxidants.
My biggest concern is age spots and under eye bags and puffiness.
Maria,
These are not small issues. And with the correct skin care routine, knowing the possible causes for age spots and puffiness, you can have the skin and face you want.
I’d highly recommend to have a consultation with your dermatologist or an esthetician who specializes on providing services to the women in menopause. Because the skin does require the knowledge of the roots of the issues you are experiencing. And a qualified esthetician could help.
Also, what really could support your youthful and healthy skin looks and functioning are double-cleansing routine (when you begin with an oil-based cleanser and exfoliation, followed by a water-based cleanser that gets rid of the byproducts from the 1st round of cleansing. This would truly positively effect your hyperpigmentation, as you will be sloughing off the dead cells that have the pigment (melanin) incorporated into them.)
In addition, add some Hyaluronic Acid products: the ones mentioned in my post are awesome. Plus, check out this post on HA details ==> https://celebratewomantoday.com/hyaluronic-acid-benefits-for-women-menopause/
As far as puffiness goes, it could be many causes: like lack of physical exercise during the day, too much sitting during the day, lack of lymphatic drainage from your head/face meaning that your lymph needs some “encouragement” to move and take all the byproducts with it).
Again, an experienced dermatologist or esthetician could help! Please don’t give up, because you can and should experience the beauty at any age!
The last few years, since I turned fifty, I have been trying different skin care products. I have not found one that I really like that helps my fine lines around my eyes and mouth.
Terri,
It is frustrating not to have a go-to skin care product you can depend on.
Many products contain many “other” ingredients along with the best ones companies advertise. And such “other” ingredients are usually the culprits to further dry and damage your skin.
The first “smoothing” effect could be very nice on the skin. However, do look for the dry after effects. If it happens, put such product away.
All the products in this post are made with non-toxic ingredients. It means that they won’t dry your skin and bring the damage to the mature skin.
I curate the skin care products that are of high quality and include them into my content as the examples for a truly effective and satisfying skin routine.
In addition, if you’ve never been to the dermatologist or esthetician who specializes in mature and menopause skin, I’d highly recommend. You can learn a lot from such appointments and empower your skin care routing for a truly anti-aging skin.
My skin routine calls for more hydration. I need something with the effective ingredients that would keep my skin feel soft and hydrated all-day-long.
Terry,
Dry skin can be supported by good hydration both internally and externally.
The skin care products with moisturizing agents like Hyaluronic Acid could be a nice add-on to your skin daily ritual.
Also, a consultation with your esthetician or dermatologist would allow you to discover the “why’s” behind the dry skin. As the dry effects could be for different reasons.
I would love to win some serums. My dry and flaky skin needs as much hydration as I can get these days. The over the counter products do not make my hydration on the skin last. Really, really would love to win your gift prize! Thank you for educational information and amazing prizes.
Miriam,
Serums are a concentration solution with the active ingredients that can really support your skin condition. Be it a dry skin or dull skin, there are serums targeting different skin situations.
The products featured in the post are some of the best in hydrating and feeding your mature skin.
