We try to help by giving our old coats, gloves, hats & boots to people who can use them.

We always donate some food for the holidays and we donate a toy for a child in need. I would much rather give than receive. Even my 8 year old daughter goes through her room a couple times a year and if she sees something she hasn’t played with in a while, she will ask if it is ok to donate it to some place that will give it to little girls so they will have something to play with. And most of her clothes go to the red cross for people who lost everything in fires etc…because thrift stores charge people for them and the red cross doesn’t. So we know all of our stuff goes to people who really do need them 🙂
We make cookies for the neighbors & buy dinner & gifts for a family in need
We plan on paying it forward by participating in Operation Christmas.
I help at the churches all year round handing out food and I give all the freebies I cant use to them as well
My sister-in-law came up with the idea to for each family member to donate a baby item or food item to her “charity” box. She then takes the box to the local women’s shelter to help out the women who need more help than we can give, but feel it is a way to honor the Baby Jesus.
My grandma is the sweetest person and helps me every chance she gets.. Thus would be cute for her!

My family lives far away.I’m in NYC with my husband of 7 years. I donate my time(when possible and when needed) to my local library posting some of our communities local events for the kids/teens that also live in our neighborhood! A busy kid/teen? Is 1 less kid/teen likely to get into trouble!

We all pay it forward by giving gifts we cannot return to those we know are facing financial challenge or just don’t gift themselves..by sending the gift “From Santa!’ There are always gift cards hanging around and under- appreciated. Got to give them away, even though we have very little.
We bring fish, can goods, beans etc. to a very special, sweet old lady who we love to call mom. She loves fish and we love to make her happy since she would do just about anything for someone in need. She calls us her other kids, lol. She lives in a senior citizen complex and is a very religious woman who knows and read her bible every day. I have known her for almost five years now and she is wonderful to talk to and was there for me when I lost my sister and mother a few years ago. Just a visit every now and then lights up her eyes and melts my heart. Thats what bring joy to my heart during the holidays and all year long.

We pay it forward by secretly doing the 12 days of Christmas to a family in our neighborhood…it consists of a 12 piece Nativity set…one piece delivered each day ending with the Baby Jesus on Christmas Eve…I wrote a poem to go with each piece.
We support a local charity who sponsors families in need for Christmas. We all need help once in awhile! thank you!
We pay it forward to our neighbors by cooking and baking. We live in a community that has young families some in need, and eldery neighbors that need attention and some help with chores. We have a generator and in the winter often loose power. Last winter we lost power for just under 6 days, we were able to serve hot chocolate, hamburgers and dogs, soups, spaghetti, and various hot dishes to help. This week my wife made an amazing pumpkin loaf, and took it over to two eldery neighbors to enjoy, they are always so thankful and love a chat. Also, a neighbor with a job interview with the state patrol needed pants hemmed at the last minute, my wife to the rescue…done! Tomorrow some raking leaves and helping nest door neighbor rake her front yard. It’s just the small things we hope they count.
