Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Egg whites
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 1/2 Lemon, peeled, seeded
- 4 Apples, quartered
- 1/2 Cup Dates
- 2 Tbsp Flax seed
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Cup Whole wheat flour
- 2 Cups Rolled oats, uncooked
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 Cup Walnuts
- 2 Tsp Brown sugar
Instructions
- 1. Prehear oven to 350F (180C). Spray a 9" x 9" baking pan with cooking spray.
- 2. Place egg whites, honey, lemon, apples, dates, flax seed, nutmeg and cinnamon into the food processor and mix it.
- 3. Place flour, oats, salt, and baking powder in a large-size mixing bowl and gently combine.
- 4. Pour liquid mixture from food processor into dry mixture and stir together by hand.
- 5. Pour into prepared baking pan.
- 6. Add walnuts and brown sugar to the food processor and chop the nuts up.
- 7. Pour chopped nuts over batter in baking pan.
- 8. Bake 45 minutes.
- 9. Divide into squares and enjoy with your cup 'o tea!
