These are just a few greeting remarks that we hear every day of our lives. With time though, you could tell that these greetings have become more of a formal hello, rather than being a genuine inquiry into your day and your true mood in this present moment.
So, let’s start from the very beginning.
How are you feeling today? What’s on your mind this very moment? Are you happy?
Experiencing a state of happiness is a learned experience. It is the choices me make during the day how to react to this or that situation. We can choose between Happy and Not Happy. We can choose to look through the shiny happy glasses onto the world that welcomes us every day we march out of the door. Or we can stay inside and choose feel miserable.
There are some medical conditions that effect the chemical balance in our brain that prevent some people to experience the happy side of life. For the majority of population, it is possible to feel happy and train yourself to look at life’s offers with a positive attitude.
A few days ago I spoke with an internationally-recognized positive psychology life coach known for her expertise in building the foundations for happiness Lisa Cypers Kamen. She is a delight herself! Here’s her video that would relate some tips for all of us to use in our daily life to experience more satisfaction from what we do.
Things You Can Do To Feel Happiness
• Practice Gratitude
Life is not easy, it’s how we relate to things. It is a Choice!
• Remember to Breath
Consciously breath in and out and calm your mind. Once you’re in the present, take care of the situation that brought you here.
• Start Your Day With Fresh Orange Juice!
Diets rich in vitamins and minerals contribute to a better mood and positive attitude.
• Envision The World as A Hospitable Place
Focus your attention onto positive feelings and actions
• Challenge Yourself
New things to try and to experience. Invoke delight and wonder in anything you do. Cultivate curiosity in your daily living.
• Create Happiness For Others
Be of service to someone who needs your help today.
So, do you think you’re up to the task to beat all that winter blues stuff and be happy and sunshiny? You better believe you can do it. Just do it.

Last week, my neck started to itch real bad and started breaking out. Then as the week progressed, the inflammation went to my face and lastly my eyes began to swell shut. Not realizing, I had become allergic to something (still don’t know what caused this allergic reaction). I finally went to the doctor’s to get medication to bring me back to normal. As I am unemployed (laid off 5 years ago), I had to pay out of pocket $100. But I didn’t let this get me down, because I was very fortunate to have won $1600 at Pechanga Casino last week (on my husband’s whim to go gambling, saying he felt “lucky”!).

Great tips thanks. I do struggle with a chemical inbalance but that doesn’t mean that part of isn’t how I look at things.

I agree, happiness is a choice!
I’m just a naturally happy person and I’m so glad for this, so it’s sometimes hard for me to realize that some people just don’t have the happy gene 🙂
However these are fantastic tips!
Great tips! I believe happiness is a state of mind and that you make your own happiness. I am happy to say, I am very happy! 😀
