As you may know, October is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is important for each and every one of us to remind one time again what it takes to be vigilant, smart, and compassionate.
The least you can do is to remember to undertake self breast exams regularly. It is not a small thing! It does saves thousands of lives every year.
The American Cancer Society’s most recent estimates for breast cancer in the United States are for 2012:
- About 226,870 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women.
- About 63,300 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer).
- About 39,510 women will die from breast cancer
I will repeat: One most important thing you can do for yourself and for your family is to take your self-breast exam every month!
What’s really nice is that Celebrate Woman Today has a lot of Brands and Companies who joined our Mega Blogger Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness. To say thank you, we will be enjoying a great number of Flash Giveaways this month. If you would like to actively participate in spreading the message of Breast Cancer Awareness among as many people as possible using your active blogging platform – please sign up for any of the open campaigns offered on this page.
Once each campaign closes, we’ll mark it with words “CLOSED.”

Women are heroes. They have always been heroes.
Being heroes, they hide their identity behind the costumes of everyday life. Hidden from view, doing daily deeds unseen by others, they allow others to shine – the bosses, the kids, the men, the parents, the friends in their lives.
